Privacy

What we collect, and why.

Effective 6 October 2026. Governed by the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Sign-ups

When you join the digest, apply for a pilot or enquire about a study we store what you enter (email, name, organisation, role, message, interest), the time, your browser's user-agent string and a salted hash of your connection address used only to limit abuse. We use this to send what you asked for and to contact you about it. We do not sell or share it, and we do not use third-party marketing trackers.

Site analytics

We rely on privacy-preserving, aggregate analytics from our hosting provider (Cloudflare) that do not use cookies or identify individuals.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted by emailing hello@evtol.nz. Every digest email carries an unsubscribe link. We respond within 20 working days as the Privacy Act requires, usually much sooner.

Where data lives

Sign-up records are stored in Cloudflare's D1 database and processed in Cloudflare's network. Digest emails will be sent through a transactional email provider under contract; until then we write to you directly from hello@evtol.nz. Access is limited to the people who run evtol.nz.
